This printing process places a design, logo or other text on the back side of the paper that can only be seen when the document is held at an angle or under ultra-violet light.

This printing process utilizes a dot pantograph background. Some dots are larger than the remaining dots in the secure document background. The larger dots are within the spectrum of color copiers, the smaller dots are not. When a would-be counterfeiter enlists the aid of a color copier, the small dots do not appear on the color copy. This leaves only the large dots, which form the word "VOID" or "COPY", thus nullifying the reproduced document.
