Operation

Completely AUTOMATIC operation. Correct company, form, checking account will be selected without the need for user intervention.

Checks

• One step process prints your checks and MICR encoding at the same time on blank check stock.
• Unlimited number of checking accounts at no extra charge.
• Automatic check signing. Up to three graphic signatures may be assigned to each checking account. Each may be assigned a dollar limit above which the signature will no longer print.
• Multi-part checks. Each part assigned a laser printer paper source bin.
• Access printer resident signature/graphic cartridges or SIMMs is built in to Check Factory.
• Assign a password to each graphic signature on a check.
• Require multiple signatures only if the dollar amount of the check is over a certain amount. (Signature line will print only if dollar amount exceeds limit set)

**Payroll check limitations:
Payroll does not use the report designer in Macola hence we are not able to extract the check number, check amount, company name and form id as we do with modules that use the report designer. This creates some limitations in the Check Factory functions. They are:

Non automatic operation.
Operator must manually select company, form, checking account.
Must enter starting check number in Check Factory field..
Cannot print automatic signatures.

• Print W2's on blank paper (except for government required red copy)
• Print forms for unlimited number of companies.
• Print Multi-part forms with 8 different titles (Original, Customer Copy etc.). Each part may be drawn from an assigned laser printer paper tray.
• Define a Packing list blackout for invoices.

Security

• Design an unlimited number of security schemes with flexibility offered by no other product
• 999 million levels of security
• A user ID and Password is required to access any checking account, plus you may also assign an additional password to EACH checking account. Additionally you may also password protect each individual signature on the check.
• Assign a security range for each checking account.
• Example: Account has security range of 1000 to 2000. Only users with a security level between 1000 and 2000 would have access to the account.
• Assign an additional (optional) password to each signature on an check.

Audit Trail

• Creates an optional audit report for any or all checking accounts. Reports activity each time a checking account is accessed. Reports date, check number, payee amount, time, account, user name etc.

GRAPHICS

• Import any bitmap graphic format for logos and signatures. Visually see the graphic on screen.

OR

• Scan images directly into Check Factory using a TWAIN compatible scanner.

Customization

Trans-Micro offers an inexpensive customization service if you need to make changes to our standard form overlays, or you may create your own form overlays using ANY form design, publishing, graphics or word processing program.

Printers

Works with Hewlett Packard PCL5+ (HP III, IV, 5, 6, 4000)or compatible MICR Laser printers.

Does not work with PCL4 printers (HP Series II), ink jet, bubble jet, or matrix printers.

Each workstation may use a different type of MICR printer. MICR alignment is now linked to the printer.

Single printer and workstation setup

Ability to use a wide variety of MICR printers at one site.

Requires "MICR" magnetic toner cartridge for printing checks. (Available from Trans-Micro)
