From time to time we make changes and repairs to the base Check Factory program. Please see the list of changes and fixes below.

You MUST have Check Factory Visual Series already installed on your system to use this file.
THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE FOR CHECK FACTORY V2.

Go to Check Factory V5 update.

4/5/2011 A new WorkstationSetupVS is available. Resolves rights issues on certain installations.

Download CF_V5.exe

Close Check Factory VS on all stations.

Save the above CF_V5.exe to your "Check Factory for xxxxx\BIN" folder. Overwrite the existing exe. It will be located in a shared folder on your server or local machine if running single user. To discover where Check Factory is installed please click on the Settings Menu, Settings, Application Settings from the main Check Factory window.

v5.00.91 8/24/2011 Fixed issue introduced in 5.00.90 where app hangs at security login.

v5.00.90 08/20/2011 Resolves issues running in a Terminal Server/RDP Session. Recognizes it is running in RDP and adjusts accordingly. This is a MUST have download for ALL version 5 users even if you are not running TS. Not tested on Citrix but should fix issues with Citrix as well.

v5.00.84 07/05/2011 Fixed issue where current user assumes the current record of the user file when editing users. Log Off is now operational.

Linking forms to specific printers is now fully implemented. Avoids Destination Printer window pop up. Note: You MUST enable "Auto Select Form Printer" in Settings, Settings in order for this feature to work.

Printing multiple parts to multiple printers issues have been resolved. Fixed issue where white text on black background fonts were not rendering correctly.

Fixed support for Legal, A4 and Executive paper sizes.

Any changes made in the form overlay via Utility Menu, Form Designer are now reflected in Form Control and Form Control Master designer windows.

Form Overlay, paper perforations and MICR clear band area now displays in the Check Format Designer.

Checking Account Control: Hovering over the Account Name, Bank Name or FRC fields will display the actual graphic image that will print on the form. The image can be edited in the respective designers.

Added multiple audit log selection for viewing and printing.

WorkstationSetupVS.exe Installation Instructions

WorkstationSetupVS.exe

Save the above WorkstationSetupVS.exe to your "Check Factory for xxxx" folder (usually found on your server). Run the WorkstationSetupVS program from inside the "Check Factory for xxxx" folder. WorkstationSetupVS cannot be run from any other folder.

PDF Printer Driver Removal Tool

Use this tool upon direction of Trans-Micro support.

RemoveAmyuniPrinters.exe
Instructions for tool use are on the menu bar when you run the program.

Save this file to the:
"Check Factory for xxx\WorkstationSetupFiles\Install Check Factory Printer" Folder

This file is also installed when you download and run the above WorkstationSetupVS.exe file.

Use this tool if running WorkstationSetupVS again does not resolve your printing issue.

Use this tool if the printing process is hanging when you print to the Check Factory VS printer or you get an

Error 30 condition when printing to the Check Factory VS printer that simply running WorkstationSetupVS

will not resolve.

You have a DLL conflict with the Amyuni PDF printer driver that we license.

Other programs at one time or another have installed various versions of the driver.

The only solution is to remove all versions of the driver and start anew.

Save to Check Factory for {your accounting}\DATAFILES
Run it from the DATAFILES folder.
Re register your software online.
